Chris’ announced as new community sponsor of Melbourne United

Two family favourites known and loved in Victoria have come together, announcing an exciting new partnership for FY19.

Bringing together Melbourne’s love for food and sport, Chris’ and NBL’s Melbourne United today announces its partnership for the 2018/19 NBL season.

With entertainment and shared experiences at the core of both brands’ values, this partnership brings together two very Victorian passions: food and sport.

“Family has always been at the heart of our business and our products,” says Arthur Xipolitos, Chief Executive Officer of Chris’ Foods, Chris’ parent company.

“Since Christos started the company in 1982, we have been running the family business in line with our family values, and as part of that, spending quality time together, sharing delicious food, and of course watching sport has been central to many memories.

“We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Melbourne United, because like food, sport is something that brings families together, and ignites passion across generations,” Mr. Xipolitos adds.

Chris’ will be integrated into Melbourne United’s community and schools program and further will be present at most home games, including the sponsorship of the pre-game kid’s clinic and patron activations and post-game product sampling.

As part of the community sponsorship, signage will also be included across courtside LED signage, providing visibility for the brand on live games broadcasted on Saturday and Sunday via television network partner, Channel Nine.

Commenting on the new partnership, Melbourne United CEO Vince Crivelli says “At Melbourne United, we are dedicated to fostering quality family time at our games, and for our fans who come together and support our home and away games every weekend.

“The new partnership with Chris’ is a perfect unity of two Victorian brands steeped in history. We’re looking forward to having another strong Victorian name added to the Melbourne United family,” Crivelli said.
