Recapping the United in Business Christmas Cocktail Event

Last Wednesday night, Melbourne United’s ‘United in Business’ (UIB) Christmas Cocktail Event put an exclamation point on another successful year of building connections and networking.

UIB prides itself on helping to connect our business community, educate our partners on the business of sport and facilitate real connections and opportunities.

At The George on Collins last week, it was clear that the UIB members in attendance had created connections and were relishing another opportunity to network.

With arguably the best ever cricketer in attendance, Brian Lara, the room was abuzz as UIB members mingled with sporting superstars and business leaders.

Craig Hutchison, Dean Vickerman and Vince Crivelli all shared insights into the sporting and business world, while Brian Lara shared stories from a life that saw him come from humble beginnings to post the highest ever individual test cricket innings of 400 not out.

With United players Chris Goulding, Mitch McCarron and Shawn Long also in attendance and mingling with members, the event truly captured the perfect mix of business and sporting worlds.

Whilst the UIB formalities for 2019 are now complete, that doesn’t mean the connections and networking stops, as these testimonials from the night prove.

“Thanks again for having me as a guest at the event. What a great group of people! I was able to make many new connections. I look forward to attending more networking opportunities in the new year with the purchase of a UIB membership.”

“A great event – UIB is doing amazing things and changing things for people and businesses.”

“Thanks for a great evening last night – it was a fantastic way to end 2019 and the UIB ‘season’. It was a beautiful venue, in addition to the company attending.”

“Super function and something great to have my business part of.”

“It was a great night – I’m looking forward to upcoming UIB events.”
