The annual Melbourne United Golf Day is one of the marquee events on United’s calendar and provides an opportunity for the Club’s stakeholders and partners to come together over a round of golf.
Held at the stunning Metropolitan Golf Club in Oakleigh South, it was a day filled with laughs and banter, a few swings and a few misses, and plenty of new connections made.
“It’s really important for us to connect with our various stakeholders – I think there’s about 120 people represented here today, probably 50-60 different organisations,” United CEO Vince Crivelli said.
“We think that we’re a small, dynamic organisation and we value everybody’s business, and we want them to be successful in their business.
“Where ever we can help them and use our platform to connect like-minded people is something we’re always endeavouring to do.”
There were food and beverage pit-stops available at many holes throughout the course – the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
On Hole 4, United’s official charity partners; Helping Hoops and Camp Quality, were represented and valuable funds were raised for both charities.
“We had Helping Hoops and Camp Quality out on the course today and we were raising some money for them,” Crivelli said.
“They’re two charities that we’re incredibly proud to be associated with and it was great to have them here today.”
With the likes of Dean Vickerman and Chris Goulding taking part in the round of golf, along with Mitch McCarron and Casey Prather joining in the dinner to conclude festivities, it was a day that featured a unique mix of business, networking and sporting opportunities.
“We’ve been doing this for a few years, it’s always a great event and it’s good to get out and see everyone in a different element as well,” Chris Goulding said.
“To do it at a beautiful golf course like this is great.”
